SEA FREIGHT

Sea freight from China to Germany

Sea freight is often the most economical route for planned B2B imports. We coordinate the journey from the Chinese factory through the CFS or container terminal to the German port and final delivery address.

01

LCL or FCL: match the shipment profile

LCL consolidates your goods with other shippers’ cargo, typically charged by volume or weight (W/M). FCL reserves a complete container and may be more suitable for larger volumes, sensitive goods or defined loading processes.

  • LCL for smaller, regular shipments
  • FCL for larger volumes and exclusive use
  • Choose containers by package dimensions, weight and loading method

02

What costs make up sea freight?

A reliable quotation separates pickup and origin charges, sea freight, port and destination charges, customs clearance and final delivery. Customs duties and import VAT depend on the goods, customs value and import structure, and are shown separately.

03

Planning instead of blanket transit-time promises

Schedules, port rotations, cut-off times and capacity change. We plan against a current route and identify estimated stages. A transit time is not a guarantee.

PRICING & PROCESS

Transport charges: how they are calculated

International freight rates change with route, departure, capacity, fuel and currency. The main transport is therefore quoted at the current daily rate rather than presented as a permanently valid fixed price.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The specific goods and transport structure may require a different assessment. We review your individual case.

When is LCL worthwhile?+

When a dedicated container is not economical and the goods can be consolidated. Additional CFS and handling charges are included in the comparison.

Which container sizes are available?+

Common options are 20GP, 40GP and 40HC/40HQ. Actual suitability depends on dimensions, weight, packaging and the loading plan.
